This could be an airleak after the airflow meter, any expose dragged in here isn t seen by the ECU and thus not compensated for and can lean the engine out and can as well as permit the engine to rev taking place considering not desired causing severe running. As its a mechanical defect it tends not to point of view upon the defect fresh and you can sometimes hear a hissing noise considering the engine running.
Might plus be worth checking the wiring and connector to the airflow meter for any signs of corrosion or damage. you can get a fast fault find if you unplug the meter and run the engine without it. if the engine condition is the same after that chances are the meter or the association to it is faulty. Its in addition to worth cleaning the MAF sensor wires, as they can get coated like dirt beyond epoch which later offsets the reading. Use some entre cleaner or brake cleaner to vaporizer onto the wires to remove the dirt on no account be next to the wires in imitation of whatever as they are certainly fragile
have you looked into throttle body coking and/or combustion chamber/valve carbon buildup? are you occurring to date on all maintenance; spark plugs fuel filter pcv vlave etc? have you performed a visual inspection and listened to engine as it warms taking place and is warmed up? oftentimes in engine show many factors may cause the thesame symptom(s)
